Deuces and Joker Video Poker is an interesting and entertaining variant of Video Poker in which has high chances of getting a winning hand. In Deuces and Joker a player can play several hands like 1, 4, 10, or 25 at a time.

Objective of the game

The objective of Deuces and Joker Video Poker is to reach the strongest hand on the completion of the game as the payout of the game depends upon the value of the hand that the player is holding.

Rules to play Deuces and Joker video poker

Deuces and Joker Video Poker is played with a 53-card deck. In Deuces and Joker there is an extra card, Joker, which acts as a wild card that can replace any card making easier for the player to attain a winning hand. Deuces/ Two’s are also considered as wild cards. Deuces and Joker Video Poker is a simple game based on the basic poker card game. The game starts when the player decides to make a bet by clicking on the [+] and [-] COIN buttons. After which he hits the ‘Deal’ button to begin the game. The system shows the five face up cards. If there are any winning combinations the system will automatically reflect the same on the screen. The player can select the cards that he wants to hold by clicking the ‘Hold’ button and he can unselect the cards by again clicking the ‘Hold’ button. After choosing the final cards the player clicks on the ‘Draw’ button to get fresh cards from the deck. If the player wins the round then he can collect his winnings or choose the Double button.

Strategies for playing Deuces and Joker video poker

A player should always max his bet with a hope to win a jackpot.

If a player has two pair in the initial deal then he should prefer to hold one pair with a chance to get three of a kind.
If a player has a deuce in his initial deal then he should avoid opting for completion of three of a kind or any other hand he should hold any other card with a deuce. The high cards do not carry any special value in Deuces and Joker. If a player has two high cards of the same suit along with a wild card then he should opt to hold three of them with a chance of winning Wild Royal Flush.

A player should opt to sacrifice winning straight if he needs one or two cards to get a natural or Wild Royal Flush. For e.g. on the initial deal if a player gets a Deuce, King, Queen, Ace of Diamonds and a 10 of Spades then he should prefer to drop the 10 to get a Royal Flush.
